How a Website’s Age Affects Rankings
According to the infinite wisdom of Google’s metrics, a domain name that is registered for a long period of time is supposedly more authoritative than newer domains. While it may be easy to scoff at the idea that all of the older domains know more than some of the newer ones, it all boils down to how Google looks at them. The key is to register the domains for long periods of time, such as five years, to give you an edge of some of the other websites.
